Eating half is a sign of peace. This proverb can be the opening line of the “Zhangyru Zholy” student club, established at the M. Utemisov West Kazakhstan State University. The “Zhangyru Zholy” student club has been operating at the M. Utemisov West Kazakhstan State University since September 1, 2006. Until 2018, the club was called “Dostyk”.
In the vast Kazakh steppe, representatives of more than 130 different nationalities live peacefully under one roof in harmony and unity. Traditions and culture, passed down from generation to generation, reveal the spiritual life and history of each nation and determine its unique identity. The main goal of the “Zhangyru Zholy” student club is to educate young people in Kazakhstani patriotism, tolerance, and friendship. Peace and harmony in our common home depend on forward-thinking youth, who are the future of the state. Every citizen living in our country has the right to receive an education on an equal basis with everyone, regardless of race or faith.
Since its establishment, the “Zhangyru Zholy” student club has been implementing many events. In particular, interesting meetings, evenings, competitions, round tables, conferences, concert programs and festivals aimed at promoting interethnic harmony and student friendship. The club holds a meeting every week. Club members not only hold various events at the faculty, university and regional levels, but also work closely with other state and non-governmental organizations, youth public associations.
