The Academic Services Department operates in accordance with the current legislative acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Regulations on job descriptions for employees of the M. Utemisov West Kazakhstan University.
Academic Affairs Department:
- Department of Planning and Organization of the Educational Process;
Registration Office;
Educational Program Design Office;
Student Service Center;
Career and Employment Center.
The main goal of the Department is:
- ensuring the organization of the educational process with educational documentation in accordance with the state compulsory educational standards for higher and postgraduate education;
- Planning and organizing the educational process at the undergraduate and graduate levels in accordance with state compulsory education standards.
Functions of the Academic Affairs Department:
- Coordinate and monitor the timely development of study plans, educational processes/academic calendar schedules, and academic lectures in accordance with state compulsory education standards, in collaboration with faculty deans, heads of educational programs/departments;
- coordination of planning of the educational process of the university and faculties;
- Supervision of the compilation and coordination of academic lectures (by type of lesson);
- monitoring the preparation and issuance of students' educational documentation (certificates, transcripts, diplomas of education);
- Monitoring and coordinating the implementation of the teaching load hours, staffing schedules and teaching load of the teaching staff of the departments/departments in collaboration with the deans of the faculties, heads of educational programs/departments;
- monitoring the educational process in all types of undergraduate and graduate studies;
- Monitoring the conduct of training sessions and exams in accordance with the schedule;
- Maintaining information on students' academic achievements (accumulated grades and credits, GPA calculation) and monitoring the collection and formation of academic records;
- summarizing the results of the teaching staff and educational programs' workloads (monthly, semi-annual, annual);
- Preparing reports related to the work of the department.
