Integrity Council
In accordance with the objectives of higher education development in the Republic of Kazakhstan, the anti-corruption policy of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and the OECD Recommendations on Public Integrity, the Integrity Council was established at M. Utemisov West Kazakhstan State University on a voluntary basis. The Council comprises a number of officials and performs the following functions: Tasmagambetov A.S., Vice-Rector for Academic Work and Methodology – ensuring the openness of academic procedures at the university; Akhmedenov K.M., Vice-Rector for Academic Work and Methodology – leading the anti-corruption commission; Darisheva T.M., Vice-Rector for Academic Work and Methodology – organizing preventive measures to combat corruption and fostering an anti-corruption culture and academic ethics; Yurov, O.V., Director of the DSRK – organizing and conducting corruption risk audits; Dobryaev, P.A., Head of the Center for Social Research – organizing and conducting sociological research, improving business processes to prevent corruption violations; Kushekkaliev, A.N., Head of the Center for Information Technologies – organizing work and providing technical support for checking diploma projects in the Antiplagiat system, and conducting the "Teacher Through the Eyes of a Student" electronic survey online and remotely. Dzhumabaev, E.I., Lawyer – analysis and legal expertise of internal regulations, orders, and instructions. The Academic Integrity Committee is formed from independent representatives of employers and graduates. It ensures external control over the functioning of the Integrity Council. Students, employees, and faculty of the university are planned to be involved in the Council's activities on a voluntary basis in the specified areas and projects.
